Our youth programs are designed to reward our younger members and encourage them to save. By having an account of their very own, they learn good saving habits and the importance of financial responsibility.
SMART START YOUTH PROGRAM
Set your children or grandchildren on the right path to a lifetime of financial responsibility. Help them learn how to manage their money with our Smart Start savings program. Members under 10 years of age are eligible to open a Smart Start account with a minimum balance of $5 in their regular savings.

DOLLARS AND CENTS YOUNG ADULT PROGRAM
At MSEFCU, we offer our future leaders a great way to get started with a checking account. Our Dollars & Cents program will help teach your teen money management skills that will last them a lifetime. Our members between 11-16 years of age are eligible to open our Dollars & Cents account with a minimum balance of $5 in their regular savings.

M3 MONEY CLUB FOR KIDS
Experts agree that early financial education is the key to inspiring kids to learn life-long money skills. That’s why we’re happy to announce a new way to help parents bring fun, adventure and financial education into the home.
Introducing the M3 Money Club for kids ages 7 to 12 years old.
M3 combines our MSEFCU Smart Start account with fun and educational tools. The program introduces young members to an exciting world where superheroes rule and learning about money is cool. As a member your child will have access to the M3 kids’ website, chance to win prizes, play games and enter to win contests!

THE ELEMENTS OF MONEY
It’s never too early to teach teens the importance of financial responsibility. That’s why we’re happy to introduce The Elements of Money, a new program that combines the financial products and services teens need, with real-world educational resources.

Credit unions have a long history of people helping people, and we’re committed to helping our younger members grow into financially-responsible adults. As a Merced School Employees Federal Credit Union member, they’ll learn to navigate through the world of personal finance, as well as experience valuable lessons in saving money. The Elements of Money offers an interactive website just for teens, online financial articles that include articles, podcast blogs videos and quarterly social media contest such as the annual Tweet for College™ Scholarship.
Teens can join “Elements” simply by opening a MSEFCU Dollars and Cents account. As a member, they’ll learn to navigate through the world of personal finance, as well as learn valuable lessons in saving money.
